As the country celebrates Women’s History Month, it is only appropriate we recognize the professional business aviation women who represent Desert Jet. Our female pilots, guest service coordinators, accounting, sales, operations, administrative managers, and marketing executive are talented women who contribute to Desert Jet’s continued success while inspiring others with their personal stories of accomplishments and achievements.

Desert Jet Center Customer Relations Advisor, Peni Nelson, was recently honored by the local broadcast company, NBC Palm Springs, for her accomplishments as a woman in aviation as part of their special series spotlighting women in the community.

Much like her hero, female aviator, and world-renowned record-breaker Jaqueline Cochran, Peni smashed through the glass ceiling and became a pilot – flying warplanes, blimps, turboprops, and jets – and an aviation businesswoman, co-founding one of the first FBOs (Fixed-Base Operators) at the airport named in honor of Jacqueline Cochran, the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal, California.
