There are three airports in the Palm Springs area (also known as the Coachella Valley) that serve Palm Desert;

1) Bermuda Dunes Airport (IATA: UDD, ICAO: KUDD) is a popular choice for travelers flying on piston, turboprop and light jet aircraft.  This airport is closest to the Vintage Club, Bighorn, Ironwood Country and the Reserve Club, as well as the cities of Palm Desert and Indian Wells.

Bermuda Dunes Airport offers quick, easy in and out access for Palm Desert residents and visitors, with few air traffic delays.  Luxury rental cards are available on site, as is secured parking for your automobile.

Desert Jet also offers private, secured loading at our private terminal on request.  We also have a private entrance onto the airport to ensure your privacy.

2) The Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Thermal (IATA: TRM, ICAO: KTRM) offers two long runways as well as instrument approach capabilities for those few days a year the clouds roll in.  The Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport offers rental cars, 24 hour service with advance notice, and can accommodate aircraft as large as Boeing 757s.

This airport is closest to the La Quinta communities of PGA West, Andalusia, Hideaway Club, Tradition Golf Club, Madison Club, Griffin Ranch, and The Quarry.  In addition, if you are attending events at the Empire Polo Grounds or the HITS Horse Ranch, the Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport is the best choice due to proximity of these venues.  This airport is a 30 minute drive from Palm Desert.

The Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport offers two full service private jet terminals, also known as FBOs (fixed base operator).  Signature Flight Support is located at the end of Higgins Drive at the airport, and Tradition Aviation is located at the end of Lightning Street.

Desert Jet has a private jet terminal at this airport and boarding can be arranged at this facility.

3) Palm Springs International Airport (IATA: PSP, ICAO; KPSP) is the most well-known of the three airports in the area, due to availability of commercial airline service.  Palm Springs International Airport offers long runways, rental car facilities, 24 hour service with advance notice, and can accommodate aircraft as large as Boeing 757s.

Palm Springs International Airport offers two private jet terminals, also known as FBOs (fixed base operator).  Signature Flight Support, the preferred FBO at the Palm Springs Airport, has a newer terminal on the south side of the airport, just west of the airline terminal on El Cielo, and offers Hertz rental cars on site.  Atlantic Aviation is located on Gene Autry Trail on the north side of the field.

Palm Springs International Airport is closest to the cities of Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage.  It is also the best choice if you live in or want to visit the communities closest to Bermuda Dunes Airport, but will be flying on a heavy aircraft that requires a longer runway.
